i create custom interior pieces for your needs. be it a stylish salon table, a new galley, or specialty cabinets. Also furniture for land homes is in my repertoire.

replacing the entire aft-deck including some beams, one of the combings, re-constructing the seat/storage, and adding lockers all around under the side deck. Teak deck layout and installation, trim, kickboards. Fun project.

while working for the school i got to make frames for Freda and plank up Loon.

hardware

I custom design hardware. i either produce the pattern and sandcast bronze items myself or work with foundries that do lost wax technique. i also work with accomplished welders and artisans to create custom stainless hardware to my specs.

many Sausalito Boatwrights have contributed to this restoration. my part (together with Jeff Reid) was replanking the topsides in Alaskan yellow cedar, partially replanking the transom, bending in a new cockpit combing, and laying a sprung ipe cabin sole.

one of the early fiberglass boats, an Alberg 30 that is undergoing major refurbishing and - furnishing. together with Jeff Reid replaced the toe and rub rails, and i made a new breasthook. the following year i put in a new teak deck in the cockpit and replaced the old mahogany combings and winchboxes as well as the hatchturtle trim with teak. i also remodeled the entire interior working closely with my client including design, production and installation.

I made a new teak transom post, scarfed in a piece of the stem, repaired the hatch and made some trim around the chainplates.

my own ongoing restoration project
she is a 1941 Knud H. Reimers 8 meter
apart from a lot of brightwork, i have recaulked the decks, canvassed the cabin tops, sistered all steambend oak frames, replaced the king beam, sistered several other deck beams and made one of the two mahogany sliding hatches.
